The Match-up

The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears are two of the oldest franchises in the NFL and the rivalry between the teams is considered by some to be the best of all rivalries across any sport. Aaron Rodgers is poised to pick up where he left off last season and could be in line for another MVP award. Whereas, on the other side of the ball, Jay Cutler may not be the starting quarterback come week 8 of the season. I think we are looking at the NFC North Division winners and the NFC North Division bottom feeders in this game. In case you didn't figure it out already, that's the Packers and Bears respectively.

The Prediction
Green Bay Packers - 38
Chicago Bears - 12

Cute Guy Watch

This week I'm not featuring someone I think is cute... Rather someone that has the most amazing name I've ever heard. Leave a comment of an NFL player's name that you think is more amazing than Green Bay's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. I'll pick the best one and send the winner a free team infinity scarf. Challenge accepted?

Mascot Match-up

Similar to last week, I feel the need to google the Packers to find out who/what they are. All I can picture in my head are fans wearing cheese hats. Don't get me wrong - I like cheese way more than any person should. I just need to know what this mascot is!

Wikipedia tells me that a man started the team by asking for funds for uniforms from his employer, the Indian Packing Company. In exchange for the funds he accepted the condition to name the team after the sponsor. One newspaper referred to the team as "the Indians," but "Packers" quickly became more popular. In 1919, the Green Bay Packers were born.

This history lesson doesn't help me in putting the Packers against a bear. I have very limited knowledge in how well the Packers play and I still don't know exactly what they are. With that being said, I'm giving this one to the Bears. I like the yellow pop of color that the Packers have but I just can't get over the absence of physical mascot.

Fun fact: The Packers have played in their original city longer than any other NFL team.

Tailgate and Cheer in Style

Both Green Bay and Chicago are two cities where you definitely don't want to forget your cold weather gear. Here is what we recommend to cheer on the Packers:

And this is what we suggest for the Chicago Bears:
